The short answer is, everybody!
I haven't yet met a home-educating family for whom the High School Diploma approach would not work. Its strength is in its flexibility.
Academically-driven students can fly through subjects at the pace that suits them while it adapts well for those who need more time or support in a subject. Young people can progress at differing paces across the subjects while still building an excellent and rounded transcript. Learning can be shaped to your child's strengths rather than forcing a fit into pre-set moulds.
This path offers structure without straitjacketing and freedom without chaos; which is exactly why it works!
There is one exception which may create unnecessary duplication: If your child already has several GCSEs under their belt (particularly Maths and English), this pathway could simply repeat work already done. In the UK, the HSD is generally considered comparable to GCSE level so, if this your situation think carefully about whether it would add value at this stage in your child's journey.
